This video is about as shocking as it gets.
A morning radio show in Texas got a call from a big fan of welfare named Lucy — and just wait ‘till you hear why.
She actually called in to brag about the fact that welfare lets her sit home and smoke weed all day!
“Me and people that I know that are illegal immigrants that don’t contribute to society, we still gonna get paid. Our check’s gonna come in the mail every month.”
Lucy explained that the government picked up the tab for her every responsibility, even though she admits she’s able-bodied:
“[W]e get subsidized housing . . . we even get presents delivered for our kids on Christmas . . . why should I work?”
Considering that “we the ones gettin’ paid,” she asked, “can you really blame us?”

Lucy’s call once again demonstrates the vicious cycle our federal government’s massive welfare programs perpetuate.
The fact is, welfare takes away people’s incentive to seek out work, and the longer the recipients can go without looking for work, the more it lets them settle into a lifestyle of lazy and destructive entitlement.
Tax-and-spend politicians love to foster such dependency because it quite literally buys them votes.
It will only end when they fear the voters who pay those taxes more than the ones who live off of them.
It’s up to you and me to make the politicians pay the political price next election.
