We knew from the start that ObamaCare was going to be a massive job killer, just as we knew its supporters would do their best to hide the truth.

But I don’t know if anyone predicted that they would expect us to be grateful about it.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has reported that ObamaCare’s insurance subsidies will have an astounding impact on the economy.

ObamaCare only retains a semblance of “affordability” if you qualify for the taxpayer-funded subsidies.

But make a few dollars more, and your premiums shoot through the roof.

The Congressional Budget Office predicts that, in order to keep their new subsidies, so many people will decline to work more hours or seek better jobs that the economy will lose the equivalent of 2.5 million full-time jobs in the next ten years.

Of course, discouraging people from economic advancement is the opposite of what ObamaCare’s supporters promised us. But when faced with the numbers, they’ve just switched to a new spin.

They’re actually taking credit for the job loss, claiming it’s good because it “frees” them from so-called “job lock” — at taxpayers’ expense.

They’re openly celebrating the prospect of addicting more and more people to the public dole.

But the fact is, losing so many jobs means fewer goods are produced and services are provided, which hurts the economy no matter if it’s the bosses or the workers who make the call.

Either way, that’s 2.5 million people’s worth of economic activity that simply won’t happen.

And the more the economy worsens, the more people ObamaCare ensnares in government dependence, the higher its costs will keep climbing.

This cycle desperately needs to be broken before it’s too late.
